Conveniently located 2 blocks from Nationwide Arena and the Short North Arts District, the Hyatt Regency Columbus is the premiere hotel in downtown Columbus. The Hyatt's contemporary guestrooms includes such features as expansive views of the city and OSU campus, pillow-top mattresses, complimentary premium channels, work desks, coffeemakers, and both dial-up and wireless Internet access. Hotel guests enjoy an indoor splash pool, an outdoor sundeck, and a glass-enclosed exercise room. The hotel also provides complimentary access to a health club two blocks away.

A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Columbus for VisWeek 2008 attendees. The conference rates are available for the dates of 16 October through 27 October 2008 based on availability. Reservation requests for specific room types, views, and bedding are subject to availability at the time of arrival and are not guaranteed.

Hotel reservation deadline for VisWeek 2008 rates is September 27, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. (Central time), OR when the IEEE contracted room block is sold out. Requests for accommodations received after the deadline will be accepted on a space available basis at the prevailing rate.

The conference rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 16.75%) and are based on single or double occupancy. There will be a charge of $25 plus tax per person per night for each additional person over the age of 18.

The Hotel requires a one-night deposit in advance to accompany the reservation, payable either in the form of a credit card or check/money order. Guaranteed reservations are held until 6:00 a.m. the following morning, at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited. Deposit is refundable if cancellation is received 48 hours prior to day of arrival.

The Hotel's check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and checkout time is 12:00 p.m. Guests are permitted to check in earlier or check out later subject to room availability. Baggage will be stored at no charge for early arrivals and late departures.
