Tutorials

Half-day and full-day course proposals are invited for visualization systems, methods, and application areas. We welcome course proposals that introduce emerging technologies to the visualization community (such as bioinformatics, computational biology, visual data mining, high dimensional visualization, usability, and intelligent agents) as well as proposals on more traditional visualization topics. The intent is to provide new tools and/or application domains for visualization research. Tutorials will be offered Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Tutorial Proposals
Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the tutorial's importance and suitability for presentation in a tutorial format, the past experience and qualifications of the instructors, the overall balance in the tutorial program, and the likely attendance of the tutorial.

All tutorial proposals should include:

  • An abstract of the tutorial topic
  • A description of the tutorial's organization including time allocation for major course topics
  • The duration (1/2 day or 1 day)
  • The level of the tutorial (beginning, intermediate, or advanced)
  • The background and address information of each of the instructors

Tutorial proposals must be submitted electronically in either PDF or HTML format.

Proposals should be sent via email to vis03@kitware.com. You will receive an email confirmation of receipt within 24 hours. Please address any questions concerning submission, format, and content to Ken Martin at ken.martin@kitware.com.

Deadline: March 31, 2003
