Applications

Effective this year, there will be an Applications Track with full, peer reviewed papers. Full Applications papers will replace Case Studies papers. Applications papers will be published in the IEEE Visualization 2003 Conference Proceedings.

Papers are solicited that present the contribution of visualization techniques toward the understanding of application-specific data. In particular, application papers must explain the effectiveness of the visualization methods for the particular application.

Original papers are limited to 5,000 words or 8 pages. Papers longer than the word or page limits will not be considered. A complete paper submission form including the abstract must be sent through the conference website for each submission. Review criteria are: interest to the community, originality, significance, and quality. Details for electronic submission are available on the web page. Accepted papers, along with supporting videos, will be included in the conference proceedings and DVD.

Accepted papers will be published in an archival quality proceedings directly from revised PDF files submitted by the authors, using a high-resolution full color print process. The proceedings will be distributed by the IEEE Computer Society.

For detailed information concerning submission guidelines contact the Applications Track Chair: Chris Johnson (crj@cs.utah.edu).
