The ninth annual IEEE Symposium on Information Visualization (InfoVis), will be held on October 19-21, 2003, in conjunction with IEEE Visualization 2003 conference. Information Visualization centers around helping people explore or explain data through interactive software that exploits the properties of the human perceptual system. Developers design cognitively useful spatial mappings of datasets that are not inherently spatial, such as those from statistics, databases, text corpora, and other similar areas.
