Vis Contest The Visualization 2005 Contest builds upon the success of last year's inaugural contest in order to foster comparison of novel and established techniques, provide benchmarks for the community, and to create an exciting venue for discussion at the conference. Winners are posted here. The contest is open to everyone (excluding the contest organizers and judges): individuals or teams from academia, industry, or elsewhere. Students and student teams are highly encouraged to participate. Existing tools and research prototypes can be used, and different tools can be combined where desired. The entries will be judged upon the completeness of the solution (with regards to the given tasks) and the effectiveness of the solution. Partial answers focusing on a particular data set, aspect of a task, etc. are acceptable; please show how the tool could be applicable to the other aspects of the contest when discussing its strengths and weaknesses in your submission. Contest results will be announced during the Poster Preview and Vis Contest Results session from 6:00 to 7:15 PM. |
