Application papers are solicited that present the contribution of visualization techniques toward the understanding of application-specific data. In particular, application papers must explain the effectiveness of the visualization methods for the particular application. Original application papers are limited to 8 pages. The submission of a video (up to 5 minutes in length) to accompany the paper is encouraged. Application papers, videos, and supporting materials will be submitted electronically. Accepted papers, along with supporting videos, will be included in the conference proceedings and DVD. This year for the first time IEEE plans to publish extended versions of a few of the accepted applications papers in the IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics journal.
