The 12th annual IEEE Visualization conference, to be held from October 21 through 26 in San Diego, California, will meet to celebrate another year of cutting edge research in scientific visualization. Before the main conference you can attend tutorials by leaders in the field, who will discuss the background of their research as well as the in-depth details of their new work. You will also find two symposia: the Symposium on Information Visualization (InfoViz 2001), presenting papers, case studies, and posters on issues specific to abstract information visualization, and the Symposium on Parallel and Large-Data Visualization and Graphics (PVG 2001), presenting papers and case studies on parallel visualization and/or large-data techniques for use in visualization and graphics.
